Harbor Day Poster Contest
Call for Artist Entries

The Art League of Ocean City is seeking entries for the annual Harbor Day at the Docks poster contest. This popular event is sponsored by the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce at the harbor in West Ocean City and is set for October 2, 2010. Every year a commemorative poster is made and sold at the event featuring an image which captures the essence of the commercial harbor.

Artists 18 and over are invited to submit a painting or photograph that celebrates the theme of "Harbor Day at the Docks." The winning image will be used for the poster and a prize of $300 will be awarded to the artist/photographer. The artist will also be invited to the event to sign the posters. Last year's winner was Robin Harrison for her image "Harbor Moon." There is no cost to enter, and artists may submit as many images as they wish. Entries will be accepted until August 1, 2010. Entries must be submitted digitally and emailed in jpeg format to ocart@verizon.net. Images should be identified with the artist's name, title of work, medium and a contact phone number. Winners will be announced September 1st. For questions contact the Art League of Ocean City at 410-524-9433.
